About the university
Lusatian High School Jana Benedykta Solfa is a non-public university founded in 2003 under the name Lusatian College of Humanities. John Benedict Solfa based in Żary. On January 23, 2017, the university changed its name to Lusatian Higher School in Lublin by a decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. Jan Benedykta Solfa based in Żary, due to the extension of the education beyond the profile of the current school name and plans to supplement the education for further studies. The basic organizational unit of the LWSH is the Faculty of Pedagogy. The faculty consists of five departments and five faculties. The University's organizational structure also includes the Foreign Language Study, the University Library (currently numbering 13,000 volumes) and the ŁWSH Scientific Publishers (so far published several dozen publications including "Lusatian Scientific Research"). The school also has a non-local Faculty of Pedagogy in Gubin. In LWSH in Żary there are first and second degree studies in pedagogy in the following specializations: social work, social reintegration, pedagogy of education and care, adult education and gerontology, vocational counseling, vocational counseling, pre-school education And initial education, health education and prevention. The school also runs a first degree program in the field of Polish philology.
