About the university
State Higher Vocational School - public vocational school in Elblag founded on July 1, 1998 as the first independent higher education institution in this city and one of the first vocational schools. Education is offered here at the level of vocational (bachelor, engineering) and postgraduate studies. The State Higher Vocational School in Elbląg was created as a result of the merger: Teachers College of Foreign Languages College of Teachers And the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Gdansk University of Technology. The Elbląg State Higher Vocational School is a significant institution for the Elbląg academic community. There are conferences, workshops, symposia and sessions here. University students make up almost 50% of the more than 10,000 elbows. PWSZ in Elblag in 2005 was named the best university of its kind (according to the "Perspective" and "Rzeczpospolita"). In 2006, in the same ranking Elbląg PWSZ got 3 place. The success of the university in 2006 was also repeated in 2009, when the PWSZ in Elbląg was qualified in the 3rd position in the "Perspective" and "Rzeczpospolita").
