About the university
They initiated the creation of the university town of Ruda Slaska authorities implementing adopted in 1997. Internal Strategy and the Integrated Development of Ruda Slaska until 2015 that the directions of development of the city provided for the establishment in Ruda Slaska university. Entrusting by the City Council Ruda Slaska implementation of the Strategy - the City of the Board resulted in establishing contacts with a group of scientists who have the declaration of the will of the City Board to support the creation and development of the university undertook a limited liability company the trouble of its organization. Created the university adopted the name School of Economics in Ruda Slaska and based on the Decision of the Minister of National Education was entered into on 11 June 2001. at number 66 in the register of non-state-university institutions.
