University of Technology and Humanities (ATH) - public college based in Bielsko-Biala , was established 1 October 2001 year with the transformation of existing since 1969 branch of the Technical University of Lodz , under the Act of 19 July 2001. Establishing the Academy of Science and Humanities in Bielsko Biała (OJ 2001 No. 101, item. 1088). It educates 7282 students at technical and humanities. The university has full academic rights. Since 1989, he has the right to confer the title of doctor , and since 1999 year habilitated doctor of technical sciences in Construction and Operation of Machines. It can also occur with applications for granting the academic title of professor . According Webometric Ranking of World Universities in January 2015 showing the involvement of academic institutions in existence on the Web, the university occupies 21st place in Poland among the technical universities, and the world's 3,772th among all types of universities.
