About the university
State Higher Vocational School im. Angelus Silesius in Wałbrzych (Angelus Silesius PWSZ in Wałbrzych) - Polish public vocational school in Wałbrzych. The university is financed by a grant from the state budget and by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The educational activity of the institution is focused on enabling higher education students who do not have the opportunity to study in remote academic centers. In the years 2008-2016 the rector of the university was Elżbieta Lonc, who replaced Czesław Dutka [3], who had been in office since 1999. At present the rector of the PWSZ in Wałbrzych is prof. Piotr Jurek. The University was established on July 1, 1999, under the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland of June 15, 1999. It is the first independent public school in Wałbrzych [1]. She received the patron Angelus Silesius. The school is a winner of the Contestant of the Year competition for 2008.
