About the university
University of Lodz - Polish institution created by decree of 24 May 1945 as a legacy heritage and tradition of operating in the interwar period in Lodz Institute of Teacher Training (1921-1928), School of Social Sciences and Economics (1924-1928) and the branch of the Free Polish University (1928-1939). In 2007, he was among the top 500 universities in the world as ranked by the magazine The Times , and in 2013 in the ranking of the British weekly "Times Higher Education" took 100th place in the ranking of one hundred twenty best scientific institutions in emerging markets.
