About the university
The Medical Academy in Szczecin was established on March 20, 1948 and was the third university in Szczecin. At that time, only the fourth year of study was launched, with 60 candidates - many of the outstanding eminent scientists and educators. In 1992, the university was named: Pomeranian Medical Academy in Szczecin. On August 21, 2010, the University was transformed into Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. PUM since 2003 participates in the Erasmus + program. Students and staff can travel to foreign universities in Norway, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Turkey, Slovenia and Lithuania with whom the university has signed contracts. Participation in the Erasmus + program allows you to gain new scientific experience, deepen your knowledge of foreign languages, and learn about the culture and customs of other nations.
