About the university
The University Institute of Health Sciences (IUCS) is a Portuguese Private Higher Education institution that teaches higher courses in the area of Health and was recognized as a public interest in DR nº 76, 1st Series of April 20, 2015. The University Institute of Health Sciences results from the change of public interest of the Higher Institute of Health Sciences-North approved by an order of the Ministry of Education published in DR No. 181, Series I (Decree-Law no. 250/89 of 8 August 1989). This designation was granted by Ordinance 906/93 of 20 September 1993 (DR No 221, Series B).
