About the university
The Instituto de Estudos Superiores de Fafe (Institute of Higher Studies of Fafe, IESF) is a project of Higher Education located in Fafe, in the north of Portugal, built on the values of proximity to the social environment and on the ideal of service to the region, while keeping a global vocation for research and share of knowledge. Originating from the Escola Normal de Educadores de Infância de Fafe, School of Early Childhood Educators of Fafe, which was created in 1985, we followed up the development of higher education and of the Portuguese society, increasing the number of students, modernizing the facilities and spreading the training offer. Today, IESF is acknowledged as a reference in the fields of Education and Technologies, with all its courses being duly accredited by the Agência de Avaliação e Acreditação do Ensino Superior (Agency of Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education) and valued by the community and employers.
