And the Universities Lusíada, wanting to respond to these demands as well as satisfying legitimate aspirations of personal fulfillment, could not defraud the expectations of those who have been looking for them. Therefore, for the Lusíada Universities, training does not end in a classroom, because we understand that university education can not be reduced to a mere technical instruction oriented to the performance of a profession. That would mean giving up education itself. Consequently, university education must respond to specifically human questions about the meaning and meaning of existence and reflect on current issues, promoting in students the social awareness formed by the human principles and values ​​of tradition, history and culture Of Portuguese society, and fostering the search for truth, creativity, critical ability and all other habits and attitudes that enrich man.
