Entry requirements In accordance with the Legal Regime of Qualification for Teaching (DL nº 79/2014, of 14 May), the access conditions to the study cycle are, cumulatively, the following: 1) Hold a higher academic qualification; 2) Have completed 120 ECTS in the Visual Arts scientific area, being able to apply with 75% of the required credits; 3) Demonstrate oral and written command of the Portuguese language attested by evaluation criteria defined by the scientific committee. Criteria for seriation: Seriation criteria: - 50% mark of the previous qualification - 50% of the applicant's curriculum vitae Candidates without a prior qualification or without a classification of prior qualification: - 75% CV appreciation - 25% Motivation and Justification Objectives - To provide and update knowledge in the scientific, didactic, sociocultural, ethical and pedagogical areas, based on recent educational research, necessary for teaching in Visual Arts; - To contribute to a reasoned and critical reflection on theories and educational practices in artistic expression and visual and technological culture; - To enhance the mobilization of knowledge and skills in the development of interventive educational practices, innovative and appropriate to the context; - To encourage future teachers to foster the development of students' autonomy and their inclusion in society, taking into account the complex nature of learning; - To encourage continuous research and innovation in Visual Arts education. Further Studies The holders of a Master's degree in Education of Visual Arts may continue their studies in Doctoral programmes in Education and Arts. Employability Visual Arts teachers in the 3rd cycle of basic education and secondary education (Recruitment group: Visual Arts - code 600).
