Admission Conditions The following may apply to the Transdisciplinary Master's Degree in Sexology leading to a Master's degree a) holders of a licenciado degree or legal equivalent; b) Holders of a foreign academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna process by a State that adheres to that process; c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as fulfilling the objectives of the degree of licenciado by the statutorily competent body; d) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum vitae that is recognized by the statutorily competent body of ULHT as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies. e) For the Psychology of Sexuality stream, only graduates in Psychology may enter the master's degree. Seriation Criteria - 50% mark of the previous qualification - Interview - 30% scientific or professional CV - 20% Motivation and justification Candidates without previous qualification - 80% Scientific or professional CV - 20% Motivation and Justification Objectives The Transdisciplinary Master's Degree in Sexology is a solid training programme in sexology aimed at health professionals and other graduates. This course includes study and research activities in the field of sexual health and sexuality, both from a clinical - psychological and medical - and educational and socio-cultural perspective. It provides a curriculum of theoretical contents which, from a transdisciplinary perspective, can Identify in a broad and complementary way the diversity and complexity of human sexuality and the main explanatory models; Understand the biopsychosociocultural mechanisms that explain the sexual function and dysfunction; Acquire updated and scientifically grounded knowledge related to human sexuality in different contexts (family, educational, forensic, clinical) and in different age groups; Analyse the human sexuality, from a holistic and integrative point of view Use resources and research methodologies in the advanced study of human sexuality; In the field of Psychology of Sexuality, participate and intervene in organizations where there are multidisciplinary teams in addressing sexuality and its problems Recipients Graduates from all disciplinary areas, except for the branch Psychology of Sexuality, which is only for graduates in Psychology Career Prospects The need to understand the behaviour and problems of sexuality has been creating an increasing number of research centres. In turn, the scientific knowledge acquired may facilitate professional paths which may include integration into teams and institutions working in the promotion of sexual health (especially in risk groups and the elderly), prevention (sexual education, family planning) and intervention (clinics, hospitals, health centres, etc.).
