Admission Requirements The following may apply to the cycle of studies that leads to the mestre degree a) holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent, primarily in the area of physical education and sports and sports science; b) holders of a foreign academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna process by a State that adheres to that process; c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as fulfilling the objectives of the degree of licenciado by the statutorily competent body; d) holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized by the statutorily competent body of ULHT as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies. Seriation criteria 50% grade of the previous qualification 20% Degree area or branch (affinity with the master's area) 10% Participation in Congresses and other events, with presentation of Communications or Posters 20% Professional curriculum in the area For candidates with no classification of previous qualification, the seriation criteria will be as follows: Curricular Appreciation: 40% Area of the degree or branch (affinity with the area of the master's degree) 20% Participation in Congresses and other events, with presentation of papers or posters 40% Professional curriculum in the area For candidates without previous qualification 100% Curricular appreciation Objectives To meet the need for an updated knowledge and scientifically based in a specific area of sport - the sport training, from the accumulated knowledge and under construction in Theory and Methodology of Training, in the so-called "Sports Science", in new technologies of information and observation and methodology of scientific research. Acquire knowledge and develop skills inherent to the performance of the functions of coach in the various sports and stages of training of the sportsman. To contribute, nationally and internationally, namely in Portuguese-speaking countries, to the scientific and pedagogical training of competent and specialized coaches, enabling them to reflect, assess and innovate the practices of sports training, considering them as a means of personal and social development. Recipients - Holders of a bachelor's degree; or - Relevant curriculum in sport coaching. Further Studies Specialization and post-graduate programs, including 3rd cycle programs referring to doctoral studies. Career Prospects Sports Coach
