About the university
The University of Defense is an independent higher education institution that performs higher education activities through academic studies of the first, second and third degree from several scientific fields within educational and scientific fields of socio-humanistic, technical-technological and medical sciences. Within the scope of higher education, the University also performs scientific research work through basic, applied and developmental research that is in function of improving and modernizing education in the defense system. The University was founded by the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia 05 No. 612-1204 / 2011 dated February 24, 2011 and operates with state-owned assets. The University integrates the functions of higher education units in its composition by pursuing a unified policy aimed at continuous improvement of higher education activity, that is, improving the quality of teaching, improving scientific research, introducing cadets to scientific research work, and creating conditions for the work and development of the University.
