About the university
On May 18, 1988, the Ministry of Transport and Post and Telecommunications issued Decision No 1252 / TCCB-LD establishing the " Training Center for Transportation Training in Ho Chi Minh City ". It was transformed into the " Southern Maritime University Center " (Decision No. 968 / TCCB-LD on January 14, 1989).
