About the university
The DECA (Ecclesiastical Declaration of Academic Competence), given by the professors of the Theology Department of the Department of Humanities, aims to open the students new professional and personal possibilities, offering a quality intellectual and cultural training in the religious and Christian field . The Episcopal Commission for Teaching and Catechesis of the Spanish Episcopal Conference has established that, in order to obtain the DECA, the students of the degrees of Degree require the realization of 24 ECTS credits of the module "Catholic Theology and its Pedagogy". These subjects are part of the elective offer of the Grade of E. Children, although they can also be taken by the students of E. Primary. Although the elective course is held in the 1st quarter of 4th year, those students who wish to do so may take these courses throughout the degree. To have greater academic and curricular sense, whenever possible, it is recommended that the subjects be taken in the order established in the Theology Module.
