About the university
The system of university centers of defense, and in particular the University Defense Center located in the General Military Academy, was created by Royal Decree 1723/2008, of October 24. The Ministry of Defense is responsible for the ownership of these centers - through the Undersecretariat of Defense and are located in the Training Academies of Officers. The University Center of Defense of Zaragoza is attached to the University of Zaragoza by the agreement signed between the Minister of Defense and the Rector of the University of Zaragoza on July 14, 2009.
