About the university
Music High School in Geneva comes from the oldest music school in Switzerland: the Geneva Conservatory of Music. Founded in 1835 by the patron François Bartholoni, the Conservatoire counted among its professors artists as illustrious as Franz Liszt or Dinu Lipatti. Its university-level courses of study are recognized by the Confederation, thus offering excellent opportunities for its graduates. It is part of the HES-SO (Swiss Higher School), a vast French-speaking university with 14,000 students.
