About the university
The Manufacture welcomed its first student actors in September 2003, in Lausanne, in this former factory of size of precious stones which is worth its name to him. Founded by the French-speaking cantons and the French-speaking part of the canton of Berne, the Manufacture was integrated in 2006 at the HES-SO. It then develops all the missions of a high school: an offer of higher education and training, applied research and services. Since 2009, she has been awarded Bachelor and Master degrees recognized at European level. In the future, the Manufacture plans to extend its training offerings to choreography, dramaturgy, stage design and theatrical pedagogy, thus becoming a real French-speaking pole of performing arts and crafts.
