About the university
Lviv University of Trade and Economics - the oldest in Ukraine and one of the oldest European trade and economic institutions, which starts from March 7, 1816. That's when Austrian Emperor Franz I signed a decree in Milan ordered the Regional Government of Galicia in Lviv to open imperial-royal real school of trading direction (Act «Osta, AVA, STNK, Ktn, 124 ex Martio 1816").
