About the university
Kharkiv State Veterinary Academy - state university IV level of accreditation under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine [2], located in a picturesque forest area in the suburbs of Kharkiv Small town Danilovka Dergachi district, Kharkiv region. It has 12 academic buildings, 5 hostels, educational farms, recreation center, equestrian sports complex, sports facilities, including football chislo three polya.Istoriya HZI begins with 1847, when in Kharkov was created "Southwest Farm" as school to prepare managers for private households. In 1855 when it was called zemlerobne school. 1911 transformed into secondary agricultural school with a 6-year period of study, 1928 - reorganized in zootehnikum and 1930 is breeding Institute. There rectors: Book Musiy I. (1946-1963) Kharkiv Veterinary Institute was founded in 1960 to unite the Kharkiv Veterinary and zootechnical institutions.
