The architecture degree at Huddersfield has a highly distinctive approach to the subject, allowing you to explore different cultural regions and design your own innovative, beautiful, humane and sustainable architecture in response. The social nature of the course means that you’ll experience ideas and influences that are as diverse as they are creative. There are two strands to the course, Architecture and Architecture (International). Both will give you an opportunity to explore the complex regional, cultural, ethical and environmental issues that’ll underpin your development as an architect. The International option provides an opportunity to travel to a non-European location, to study architecture and culture first hand before designing buildings that are truly responsive to people and place. Recent visits have included Vietnam, Malaysia, India and China.* When you graduate from the course you’ll be able to work in a very wide range of architectural practices and will be sought after for your practical ability and creative flair. You’ll be well prepared to work in a professional environment and ready to progress to the next stage of your architectural career.
