About the university
Cedar Valley College is a two-year public community college in Lancaster, Texas serving southern Dallas and northern Ellis counties. Cedar Valley opened in the summer of 1977, becoming the fifth of seven colleges in the DCCCD. The college's main campus sits on over 300 acres in Lancaster at 3030 North Dallas Avenue. The college’s signature programs include veterinary technology, performing arts, sustainability, industrial technology, and early college high school/dual credit. In addition, Cedar Valley operates the CVC Center at Cedar Hill (207 North Cannady Drive) which offers education and training for personal enrichment and support/resources for start-ups, entrepreneurs and small businesses.
