About the university
Bucks County Community College was founded in 1964, just as the last of the 78 million baby boomers were being born in America. The founders understood the important role a public two-year college would play in the educational landscape for a growing population. They also knew the value that higher education could bring to area high school graduates and other Bucks County residents. So they built Bucks to provide the greatest relevance to the greatest number of people—as a stepping stone to a bachelor’s degree, an institution granting associate degrees and certificates, and as a place where those who love learning can return for a lifetime. The quality of a Bucks education transfers to everything you want to do in life and everywhere you want to go.
