About the university
Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is a community college in Cloquet, northern Minnesota. The primary campus is in 38 acres of woods. The satellite campus is in Red Lake. It is the only Tribal and Community College that is part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System as the White Earth Tribal and Community College is not part of the system. The Fond du Lac Reservation Business Committee recognized a need for a community college as part of a comprehensive education plan in 1979. The Minnesota Legislature created Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College (FDLTCC) in 1987. The Fond du Lac Reservation chartered FDLTCC in 1987.
