About the university
Kilian Community College has announced it will close effective May 31, 2016. At its annual meeting on Thursday, the Board of Trustees of Kilian Community College voted to cease operations. Students, faculty, staff, donors, and other community stakeholders were notified Friday. Kilian Community College will remain open through May 2016. Classes will be offered as scheduled and scholarships awarded for the Winter 2015 and Spring 2016 semesters. All new students enrolled for the Winter term, which begins on November 30, can request a full refund if they choose not to attend. A Teach-Out Plan is being drafted to provide all students an option for the timely completion of their degree. This Plan is subject to approval in early 2016 by the Higher Learning Commission.
