Northwest-Shoals Community College Northwest-Shoals Community College (NW-SCC) has been providing postsecondary and workforce education to Northwest Alabama for 50 years. As a comprehensive two-year college, NW-SCC, provides academic, career technical and lifelong educational opportunities. The College operates two campuses, the Shoals campus in Muscle Shoals and the Phil Campbell Campus in Phil Campbell, located in Franklin County. With just over 75% of its students benefitting from financial aid, NW-SCC makes higher education a reality for a wide range of students at various income levels. NW-SCC is an ideal option for those interested in academic transfer, career/technical programs and health sciences careers. Students who attend NW-SCC to obtain basic educational requirements before transferring on to a four-year college/university save on average 50 to 60 percent on tuition costs. NW-SCC successfully continues to meet the educational and training demands of a unique and highly diverse population. The college also is committed to providing training and education for area business and industry through our NW-SCC Workforce Solutions department.
