About the university
Originally founded in 1905 as St. Vincent's School of Nursing by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Vincent's College is recognized today as a leader in quality health science education. St. Vincent's College derives its mission from the historic commitment of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul to care for the sick poor and to educate others for the health care ministry. The mission is based on Judeo-Christian values and Vincentian tradition and is guided by the Core Values of Ascension Health: Service of the Poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom, Creativity and Dedication.
