At Otero Junior College (OJC), we are interested in providing students a quality education wrapped in an experience that will last a life time. Through programs, activities and events designed to enhance the student experience, the International Relations Office strives to foster international awareness, understanding and appreciation on the OJC campus and surrounding community while providing crucial support services to our international student population.
Student visa
Our programs and services are available to any OJC student. We assist and provide F and M students with official documentation (I-20) that is needed to apply for the appropriate visa and ongoing immigration assistance while a student at Otero Junior College. We also host students on J visas through special programs administrated by other organizations. These documents (DS-2019) and immigration advising comes from the administrating organization.
Accommodation
OJC has two types of housing on campus, a traditional dorm style residence hall located on the south end of campus, Wunsch Hall, and the “suite style”, Conley Complex across the street from Student Services and the Food Court, and South Site located about 1.5 miles from campus. All rooms have 1 bed and wardrobe and/or dresser per resident and a shared desk. Laundry is free to all residents (just buy detergent). All students who live on-campus have a 15 or 19 meal plan.
