About the university
Otterbein University is a small, private, highly residential, private, four-year liberal arts university in Westerville, Ohio, United States. It offers more than 70 majors and 40 minors as well as six graduate programs. Otterbein is an inclusive community dedicated to educating the whole person in the context of humane values. Our mission is to prepare graduates to think deeply and broadly, to engage locally and globally, and to advance their professions and communities. An Otterbein education is distinguished by the intentional blending of the liberal arts and professional studies, combined with a unique approach to integrating direct experience into all learning.

Student visa
All degree-seeking students must have an F-1 visa. An I-20 is issued by the university once the student is enrolled and has provided the following: Bank statement showing finances to cover one full academic year Sponsor Guarantee form (provided by the university after the student is enrolled) Valid passport
Accommodation
Students are required to live on campus in the dormitories for the first three years unless they live with a relative who has guardianship of the student and lives within a 30-mile radius of the university.
Scholarships
International Undergraduate Scholarship of $5,000-$15,000 awarded based on a combination of factors such as test scores, class rank, and academic average. The scholarships are awarded on an annual basis so long as the student is in good standing. Other awards such as the community service, IB, or talent scholarships may be combined to offer a greater award. Otterbein does not offer financial aid.
