About the university
St Patrick's Seminary & University has been providing leadership in the formation of Roman Catholic priests since 1898. Currently, we have over 110 seminarians from 16 dioceses on a beautiful 40-acre campus in Menlo Park, California--35 miles south of San Francisco. In the heart of Silicon Valley, we are strategically located to serve the western states. We have a very distinguished program linking the initial and continuing formation of Roman Catholic priests in an international and multi-cultural environment reflective of the populations in the West Coast communities. Most of our faculty members possess doctorates and advanced degrees and we are accredited by both the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the American Theological Society ( ATS). In 1991, the Vatican recognized us as a Pontifical Seminary, acknowledging the quality of our faculty and our formation program. St. Patrick's Seminary offers the Pontifical STB degree as permitted by the Vatican in addition to the Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Theology.
