About the university
Located in the Uintah Basin, Uintah Basin Technical College has offered practical education since 1968, the first technical school in the state of Utah. Our main campus is located in Roosevelt with a second campus in Vernal. Uintah Basin Technical College offers convenient schedules, competency-based learning, and training opportunities in high-demand fields. Our goal at Uintah Basin Technical College (UBTech) is to help you gain the technical skill levels and work habits required for success in today’s dynamic workforce. We develop programs with on-going involvement from our business and industry partners and quickly adapt as the workplace and business environment changes. Many of our programs are self-paced and competency based, providing individualized instruction.
