Student visa

Most international students will require an F-1 or J-1 student visa to study in the United States. If you are admitted to The University of Akron we will provide you with an I-20 which you can use to apply for your student visa. If you'd like to know more about studying on a student visa, email immigration@uakron.edu.

Accommodation

The University of Akron is located in the beautiful mid-size city of Akron, Ohio, USA. Undergraduate international students will spend their first year living on campus in one of our award-winning residence halls. Priority housing registration is given to international students each year. Graduate students tend to live off-campus in one of our nearby apartment complexes or rental housing units. Scholarships

At The University of Akron we are dedicated to finding affordable solutions for international students. We offer the Presidential Scholarship, Provost's Scholarship, and Akron Advantage Award to incoming undergraduate students.
