About the university
Values, representing your principles of faith and spirituality will distinguish you as people of integrity from one another and are a vital element to each student's success. Ursuline College encourages students in their quest for self-growth, to heed their voice and express those values. Lastly, Ursuline promotes each student to continually shape their vision in an ever-changing world so they may move forward in future endeavors. Ursuline College does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, age, ethnic/national origin or disability in the administration of its policies of admission, access to, treatment or employment in its programs, activities and practices. Ursuline College was founded in 1871 by Mother Mary of the Annunciation Beaumont of the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland. She recognized the need for an institution of higher learning for women. Ursuline College was the first women's college in Ohio and one of the first in the United States.
