About the university
Gulistan State University was founded in 1992 under the basis of Syrdarya State Institute after proclaiming Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Nowadays Gulistan State University has developed a broad spectrum of scientific and educational research works. Like advanced universities of the world, today Gulistan State University also has its own scientific centers and scientific –educational departments. At the present Gulistan State University is preparing 28 different specialties. In 2012 in the University were formed additional 3 new educational directions – “Ecology and Environmental Protection”, “Pedagogies and Psychology” and “Comprehensive Soil Study”.
