About the university
History of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University started in far 1935, when on the basis of the Faculty of Education of the Central Asian State University educational institution to prepare graduates - teachers, teaching artists of the case was founded. In 1947 the institute was reorganized into the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute named after Nizami. A honorary University status was granted to the university in February 1998 by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The university is recognized as a leading institution of the country, specializing in teacher training for academic lyceums and professional colleges.
