Established in 1962, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the metropolis of Dhaka (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited/recognized by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) is a small (enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 55 years old H.E. institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. BUET also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sport facilities and/or activities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
