About the university
Sichuan University of Arts and Sciences, located in Tianfu City, Sichuan Province, east of Dazhou City, the history of the school can be traced back to the late Qing Dynasty Longshan Academy , in 1976 began to hold higher education, called Daxian Teachers College. In 1978 by the State Council approved for the full-time ordinary colleges and universities, have been renamed Daxian Teachers College, Daxian Teachers College. February 2006 approved by the Ministry of Education to become undergraduate colleges and universities, is the only province in eastern Sichuan Province undergraduate colleges and universities.
