Location
This specialization focuses on the study of relations between the chemical structure and physical properties of materials. Students deepen their knowledge of the properties, application, and processing aspects of glass and ceramics, metals and alloys, plastics and rubber, materials for electronics, or composite structures. Students can also learn about materials corrosion and prevention, the application of hybrid and biomaterials, and the surface functionalization of materials. At the Faculty of Chemical Technology, students may focus their professional profiles towards specialized fields: the production and properties of metals, glass, or ceramic materials; plastics and rubber; biocompatible materials; and nano- or submicron-scale structured materials. Students can also focus on a more theoretical programme exceeding the scope of the foundational programme. During the course of the programme, students choose one of three specializations offered.
