The incorporation of doctors in companies will be promoted in order to extend their capabilities beyond teaching and research, to boost productive activity. The proposal is in line with the necessary modification of the resource management patterns, seeking to optimize their use, through internal and external communication formulas; and is closely and directly related to R&D&I in each and every one of the lines of research that the Doctoral Programme in Business and Economics includes. In fact, some of these lines have already produced research results that were transferred to society on the form of knowledge, to the private sector and to the public bodies in charge of decision-making. We can specifically highlight those subject areas related to tourism and innovation due to their special relevance for key economy sectors in the medium and long-term. Likewise, the lines of research deeply analyse globalization and entrepreneurship.
