This University Diploma is a part time course run over one academic year. Potential candidates for this course will currently be teachers of numeracy or key/functional skills for a minimum of 50 hours per academic year. The Teaching Mathematics (Numeracy CDP) in the Lifelong Learning Sector course provides an opportunity to enhance knowledge of numeracy teaching and numeracy skills, as well as meeting the requirements for qualified status for literacy tutors in the Lifelong Learning Sector. Flexible attendance patterns are available (depending on individual centre arrangements) and typically involve taught sessions, teaching practice and accessing online course materials and discussion forums.
