University of Business and Social Sciences

On October 4, 1991, by resolution of the Ministry of Culture, Education and Justice of the Nation, the operation of the University of Business and Social Sciences (UCES) was authorized. Its educational management had its origins in 1942, when the Sales Leaders Association (ADV) was founded. The institution changed its name over time (since 1983 was denominated Association Business Leaders-ADE). It promoted the formation of the High School in 1957 and the creation of the Foundation of High Studies in Commercial Sciences (FAECC) in 1964. Until the early 1980s, FAECC deployed a career development policy that had great entrepreneurial recognition but whose titles had only the exclusive endorsement of the Institution. In 1983, by ministerial resolution obtained approval as an institute incorporated into official education, a requirement that made it possible to extend official degrees. By 1988 a team of university graduate experts was summoned to develop a university project. The team worked under the direction of the then president of ADE, Doctor Horacio O'Donnell. This group carried out an analysis of the projects of several national and private universities and made numerous consultations with people of their knowledge in more than one hundred and fifty universities abroad. The project, Which proposed as a novel methodology a high integration between theoretical studies, practice (case method) and research, was approved by the Board of Directors of the institution.
