About the university
The Ocean University of Sri Lanka (OCUSL) was established in 2014 under the Ocean University of Sri Lanka Act, No. 31 of 2014. Previously it was known as the National Institute of Fisheries and Nautical Engineering. Currently, OCUSL is offering four BSc programs and a range of diplomas, certificate courses and mobile training programs with a view to transfer technology in order to enhance the sector performance. The OCUSL is expanding her academic, research and training potential as a fully-fledgedNational University devoted to enhance the countries Marine, Maritime, Fisheries and allied sectors. The plans are underway to develop Ocean University as the regional leader in those sectors.
