ARCIS now, undoubtedly, is going through a critical moment, but it is not insurmountable. Economic difficulties, combined with a consistent campaign to discredit his public image, made it difficult to administratively manage finances. ARCIS was the subject of accusations of profit and institutional impracticability, without having the meaning of statements that failed to show and that the facts refute. Despite this, ARCIS managed to support the project, thanks to the support that it provided most of its scientific community; Which he publicly expressed his commitment to the model of an experimental college and critical, humanistic inspiration and social vocation. It takes an end from the school year, lay the foundation for administrative and financial reorganization and start a new process of admission and registration. We are convinced that our country needs the quality of ARCIS University, it is part of the history and memory of our country. He was born to become the center of scientific and intellectual resistance to the civil-military dictatorship and its socio-economic model and goes beyond the simple, certifying role of most universities in Chile. Thus, we assume, responsibly the task of saving the university, to establish itself correctly is a participant of fundamental support for movements opposing the neoliberal model.
