About the university
Beijing Opera Art Vocational College (hereinafter referred to as "North Opera"), located in Beijing, is approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government , the Ministry of Education for the record of full-time ordinary colleges and universities , is the only one in Beijing to set up an independent art College. The predecessor of the college was founded in 1952 in Beijing private art training opera school, in 1953 by the Beijing municipal government took over, renamed the Beijing opera school. Famous performing artists Hao Shouchen , Ma Lianliang, Sun Yumin and other former school principals. In December 2002, the college was established, formally held full-time higher vocational education, college covers an area of 44.69 acres, in 2006 the Beijing Institute of Art and College merged to enrich the college teaching and research strength
