About the university
Gansu Forestry Vocational and Technical College, located in the historical and cultural city of Tianshui City, is the only one in northwest China 's independent set of forestry higher vocational institutions , is also the country's 100 national demonstration vocational colleges in the only forestry vocational college. College formerly known as Lanzhou Forestry School, founded in 1956, has more than half a century of school history. In order to meet the needs of the western ecological environment construction , in July 2001 by the Gansu Provincial People's Government approved by the original state-level key secondary Gansu Provincial Forestry School was transformed into Gansu Forestry Vocational and Technical College. In 2007, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance identified as "national demonstration of higher vocational colleges construction project" project construction units; in June 2010, the national demonstration school construction project passed the acceptance of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance.
