About the university
Hohhot Institute of Nationalities is approved by the Ministry of Education, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Government sponsored by ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities, located in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region capital - Hohhot City, founded in 1953, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was established the earliest national institutions, mainly for Inner Mongolia And Mongolian language collaboration eight provinces and autonomous regions of the national enrollment. The school is the Ministry of Education counterparts to support the western colleges and universities one of the planning schools, by the Central University for Nationalities counterparts support Hohhot Nationalities Institute. As of November 2016, the school has 15 teaching institutions, set up 29 undergraduate majors, 10 specialist, covering the arts, law, teaching, management and other eight disciplines, full-time students in more than 8,000 people, Mongolia Students account for 60% of students. Campus covers an area of 530 acres, the school fixed assets worth nearly 400 million yuan, of which teaching and research equipment worth 81.4 million yuan.
