About the university
UNIVERSIDAD FUNDEPOS “Somos la primer Universidad en Costa Rica en impartir un programa de MBA” La Universidad FUNDEPOS se desarrolla en Costa Rica producto de tres hechos educativos históricos en el ámbito de las ciencias económicas. El primero de ellos con la llegada de National University en 1983, con sede central en San Diego, California, EUA, que instituye el primer programa de Maestría Profesional en Administración de Empresas del país. El segundo momento histórico se da en 1993, cuando este programa se traslada, en cuanto a su administración, a la Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR). Con ese propósito se crea la Fundación de Estudios de Posgrado e Investigación en Ciencias Económicas (FUNDEPOS). El tercero, en 1999 cuando se crea la figura que hasta la fecha abriga a la Universidad FUNDEPOS, inscrita ante CONESUP como Universidad Alma Mater, que actualmente pertenece al Movimiento Cooperativo Nacional e Internacional, lo que le da un músculo operativo para desarrollarse de cara a los retos del mercado.
