About the university
The Medical University, in Prague 5, Duškova 7, provides university education in medical paramedics General Nurse, Midwife, Radiological Assistant and Medical Rescuer. It responds to the change in the requirements for the education of health professionals in the non-medical professions given by the Act No. 96/2004 Coll., On Non-medical Health Professions. Education is in line with the EU directive and, according to the EU Commission's Communication, DG Internal Market, its graduates in EU countries will be recognized automatically. The first academic year 2005/2006 was launched in September 2005. The length of study in all disciplines is three years. The form of study in all offered disciplines is full-time, and the General Nurse can also be studied in a combined form of study. The study programs are prepared according to the requirements of the WHO and the EU and correspond to the demands of these professions in the EU countries. Graduates obtain the title of "Bachelor" after defending their bachelor thesis and passing the state examination.
