About the university
Cold College is a Danish educational institution located in Hjallese in southern Odense . The school offers vocational training in food , agriculture and dairy , academy education ( laboratory , process technologist and Service Management ) and the technical high school department Funen Science High School , which was founded in 1992. Name Cold College refers to Christen Kold , who grundlagede one high school in Dalum in 1862. In 1886 , Dalum Agricultural College founded in the school's former buildings. The agricultural school created in 1889 a dairy school and changed its name to Dalum Agricultural and Dairy School. In 1972 got milk school its own superintendent, Jens Martin Buch Kristensen, under whose leadership the school in 1979 became independent and was named Wales Technical College, Dairy Education Center. After a merger with Søhus Gartner School, switched Wales Technical College in 2004 its name to Dalum UddannelsesCenter , with the international name Dalum - College of Food and Technology. In October the same year went superintendent Jens Martin Buch Kristensen retired. In 2008, the school changed its name to Kold College. Cold College was in February 2009 named as Denmark's best vocational school. The school's director is Hans Skjerning.
